Quick answers

How do I report or block someone?

In a room, open Who's here (+ → Invite friends, or Settings → Who's here), tap the player and choose Report or Block. You can also report what's on the big screen from + → On now, or a film from your reel. Reports come to us and we aim to review them within 24 hours.

How do I delete my data?

In the game: Settings → Privacy & safety → Delete my data. Without the game: the delete your data page, with your save code.

I got a new phone. How do I get my stuff back?

Your save code is in Settings. On the new device, choose Bring your stuff back on the home screen (or Use another save code in Settings) and type it in.

I bought something. Where is it?

On the save you were playing on when you bought it. On another device, bring that save back with its code, or in the app open Settings → Unlocks and purchases → Restore purchases (with the same App Store or Google Play account) for your unlocks. Refunds go through the store you bought from.

Does Recess cost anything?

No: Recess is free to play, on the web and in the apps, and coins are earned all over the game. The apps also sell optional coin packs and unlocks (Splash Cove, the water park; Atlantis, the city under the sea; and the Stretch Limo). Nothing for sale is random, and a host who owns a place opens it to everyone in their room. Buying needs online play, which is 13 and up.

For parents

Online play is for ages 13 and up (the app checks before anyone plays online). There's no free-text chat: players talk through preset lines and emotes, names and titles are filtered, and cameras, photos and uploaded videos only work in private rooms, which need a password, so you can keep play to friends. Offline play needs no internet at all. Players can report and block anyone, and we review reports within 24 hours. Read the community rules and the privacy policy.
